Distinguished Young Alum

Peeyush Shrivastava, Distinguished Young Alum 2025, MHS Class of 2013

Peeyush Shrivastava is redefining what it means to be a visionary in health care innovation. A proud graduate of the William Mason High School Class of 2013, Peeyush co-founded Genetesis, a groundbreaking medical technology company, while still in high school—alongside fellow Class of 2014 Comets Vineet Erasala and Manny Setegn. What began as a dream between friends has grown into a nationally recognized enterprise, recently earning Peeyush and his co-founders a coveted spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

As CEO of Genetesis, Peeyush led the company in developing CardioFlux MCG, a non-invasive biomagnetic imaging system that measures the heart’s magnetic field to detect cardiovascular disease. The technology offers a radiation-free, highly accurate alternative to traditional imaging—revolutionizing how myocardial ischemia is diagnosed. Genetesis has secured over $40 million in funding, achieved Breakthrough Device designation from the FDA, and partnered with world-renowned institutions such as Cleveland Clinic and Christ Hospital to advance clinical trials.

A former Thiel Fellow, Peeyush left The Ohio State University to focus full-time on Genetesis. One of the most meaningful decisions he and his co-founders made was to headquarter Genetesis in their hometown of Mason, Ohio. They recognized the unique advantages Mason offers—proximity to top-tier medical institutions, state and local innovation support, and a community that shaped their values and drive.

Peeyush remains deeply committed to giving back. Genetesis was one of the earliest partners of Mason City Schools’ experiential learning program, XLP, and Peeyush continues to mentor and support the next generation of Comet innovators through internships and engagement opportunities.
