2022 Campbell Family Founder Award Winner

Bill Wilkinson

Mason Schools Foundation announced Bill Wilkinson as the 2022 recipient of the Campbell Family Founder’s Award, The Foundation’s most prestigious honor.

Bill Wilkinson is an alumni parent of 3 former Mason Comets. He has been a district and community advocate and volunteer for Mason City Schools and in our community for many years. Whether he was volunteering as the head of the pit crew in the marching band, educating Mason families and the community on the benefits of passing the school levy, volunteering at a local women’s shelter or frying Thanksgiving turkeys at St. Susanna for families in need, Bill is the epitome of dedication, hard work and purpose driven values.“

Bill is always willing to step up when there is a need,” says Zach Hinson. “He is organized, thoughtful and a great communicator which makes him an excellent leader for others to follow.” Bill is also known to invest his own time and resources to cultivate strong teams and lead projects that make a difference. With his wife Lynne by his side, Bill invested over a decade of support for Mason Bands as a trusted adviser to the directors. Together they were able to share candid feedback and drive an improved experience for all participants. Now, as alumni parents, they continue to stay actively involved.

“Bill is not a typical volunteer,” states Mindy Patton. “Bill is extraordinary.”

Please join MSF Board of Directors in congratulating Bill Wilkinson!
